Killermatch 2 is now almost 100% feature complete with the old version and ready for testing!
(Oh, if you have not idea what Killermatch is about, check out http://killermatch.com/)
Differently from the old version which was an Android-only app, this app will run “everywhere” (meaning currently on Chrome and Safari on any modern device, including iPhones, iPads, Androids, Macs and PCs).
It will not yet run on Windows Mobile devices however (technical reason being WebSQL/SQLite, but I plan to fix that soon). Once testing is complete it will be packaged and distributed as apps through the Play Store and App Store.
If you have used the previous version of Killermatch earlier, please make sure you register with your Google email address (the one that was tied to your Google account on your phone). If you do all your existing matches will already have been imported into the new release.
If you have not used the previous version, you can still register and test drive the app, but there will not be any pre-populated match data for your to view. Use the “+” button or “Menu->Insert” to insert some matches if you want to get a feel for how it works.
You can subscribe to the Killermatch News email list below if you want to be notified about updates automatically through email in the future:
Please note that this is an early test; Any matches you enter here now may get lost in the future. Having said this, you can test-drive the new app on the following link:
If you decide to give it a spin and have anything you would like to contribute, please get in touch.
Please also note that due to a new identity system, profile images of your opponents have not been carried over. There are very good reasons for this which I may explain later, but the primary reason is that if any user adds a profile image for himself or any participant, that image will get shared across all users. So over time it will mean more profile images and less work.
Anyway, here are some screenshots of Killermatch 2 running:
